Traxler's Hunting Preserve will present “Living Military History Day” and a WWII Reenactors' Public Tactical Battle will be held on Saturday, May 31 st 2008 in LeCenter , Minnesota . There will be time period military Reenactor encampments, displays and demonstrations from the Civil War through the World War II period and then also Vietnam era representations.

The day will also include live cannon fire demonstrations by the New Ulm Battery and the 1st Litchfield unit will have heavy artillery and mortar live fire. At 1:30 PM the ‘ Battle for France 1944' will be reenacted with pyrotechnics featured by BPS Motion Picture Weapon and Special Effects.

The WWII Tactical public battle will represent German held positions defending against Allied ground and air attacks. Several WWII vintage aircraft and numerous military period vehicles will be participating in the public battle segment of the living history day event. Over one hundred WWII Military Reenactors will be attired and equipped as WWII Allied and German soldiers of the European Theatre of Operations.

Those attending the full day event will be shuttled in by bus from the Le Seuer County fair grounds located in Le Center, MN where the public parking and shuttle transportation is free of charge. There will be three buses for the event that will be providing convenient continuous shuttle service to the event grounds. The buses will be going back and forth from the Preserve to the Le Seuer County fairgrounds parking area, so people can come and go as they please for the whole day.
